A week before the Chicago show that was captured for A LONG DAYS NIGHT I taped the show in Racine, WI to send to the director we had hired for the shoot as he was unable to get out to see a show before the Navy Pier event. When we were searching through the tapes looking for "bonus" items for the ALDN reissue I found this one in the box.

The final AOF 40th show with special guest Albert Bouchard. Sold out weeks in advance, the 2 set show ran nearly 2.5 hours and some fans have said it was the best BOC show they had ever attended. HD video from a single static camera.

The 1st all acoustic BOC show, on our home turf - Long Island! This was planned as the first show of our 40th Anniversary celebration weekend as we were scheduled to play NYC the following night. We had flown in many of our extended BOC family for the weekend festivities however, Super-storm Sandy had other plans for us however and the NYC show was postponed.

When BOC 1st played this venue in '75 it was known as the Hammersmith Odeon. Returning to the venue in 2019 with a nearly 2 hour show, the seats had been removed and it was now the Apollo Hammersmith.

Pine Knob 1999, probably one of the BOC most frequently played venues - in excess of 15 times I believe.

Is there any venue BOC played more frequently than Toad's Place? Another rock solid set with some "Heaven Forbid" material several years before release. House video/VHS master.

Interesting set list for this one - including 2 songs from "Bad Channels" and fairly early versions of a few that would ultimately end up on the "Heaven Forbid" album several years later. In-house video/VHS master.

Besides the professionally-recorded "Navy Pier" concert, 2002, this may be the best quality video/AUDIO BOC concert recording I've ever seen. Actually, even better than the Navy Pier concert, as Eric's pipes aren't completely shot, like they were in 2002(IMO). Cryin' shame "Astronomy" wasn't part of this set. THANKS FOR SHARING.
Cryin' shame the audio is so bad, but then again, any video of vintage BOC is beyond rare.
Great album, captivating as always
I bought the cd it's different and the art is good 👍
It shouldnt be the last album
BOC video, from their "early days" is so rare. IMO, this one's audio is slightly better than their "Live 1976" which seemed completely void of any bass track. In the mid-70s, Eric's pipes were at their epic peak. "Astronomy" will never sound the same live as it did back then. Thanks for sharing!!!
Some idiot on yt has videos on boc and the war against them with comments off
Great record. Can't wait to get my CD.
Some of the stuff Buck gets into at the end of DFTR here is astonishing.
That was cool. Thank you.

3 years ago and they still smoke
Great narrative and a cool opportunity to understand what goes on in the kitchen. Richie has been an incredible addition to the band for his versatility, songwriting, and supreme nerd skills. Renaissance Man!
So Eric says that the band has stayed together as long as it has because they don't talk about politics. Being musicians you'd assume they all lean left ( and, yes, I know what assuming does ). I am curious if anyone knows how any of the guys really feel? After 45 years of listening it wouldn't change my feelings that they're the most eclectic band I've ever heard and my favorite.
hopefully they're not leftwingnuts brainwashed by the cult of the useless
@@RakelaK67 oh, the irony
@@RakelaK67 You do realize how many educated, non-racist people haven't joined your cult, right? The irony of you calling people "brainwashed" because they don't think one immoral moron should be a virtual leader of the world is so ironic. Have a nice day. (Why don't we just focus on the band, ok, RakelaK67?)
Man...blasted this down the dorm halls (OYFOOYK version) at Iowa State in 1977. Somebody had stenciled the symbol on the sidewalk outside; it was there my whole college career. BÖC still has the juice 50 years on - incredible. The mindset and determination to keep a band thriving for that long is truly formidable. This Godzilla won the lockdown.
I could care less about the Imaginous tracks. But this is still an amazing set. I would happily replace the Imaginous tracks from anything from Mirrors! Lol 😂
Hands down the best lockdown crap!!
I'll never forget the 1st time I saw B.O.C. Live. ,it was 1980 They were headlining the Black & Blue Tour at the Nassau Colliseum in Long Island N.Y. man that was the BEST SHOW I EVER SAW THEY BLEW AWAY BLACK SABBATH LIKE THEY DIDNT EVEN EXIST !!! NOBODY ROCKS LIKE B.O.C. !!!
Just an idea, what if BOC held a song contest where BOC fans submit songs to be chosen and recorded for another album.
Wow ! Amazing live captation ! Great sound and video ! Many thanks for this sharing , it made my day
Saw that tour in portland oregon. Band sounded refreshed. Buck played his ass off. Seen BOC 19 TIMES!! 😊
I'm right up there with you man , I don't remember how many times I have seen them , I lost count but that's how much they always meant 2 me , Nobody Rock & Rolls like B.O.C. their induction into the Rock & Roll is way overdue , if not now or soon , then FUCKING WHEN ??? IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE BAND OR THE FANS , They've inducted stupid Fucking Bands that aren't even R&R , SHAME ON THE R&R Hall of Shame !!!
This is a slammin' set! They've never had a sub par lineup, always a great rythym section!
Bucks knuckle crackin' bit, timeless!

Listening to a reconstructed Lanier keyboard will be a ghost story.
This got me really hyped up for the new album 🥰 I can't tell you how much I appreciate getting new music and can't wait to start hearing these live! ❤
Well done guys....
I don't understand why they don't give the guy on the right his name, Steven Schenck. Is that so hard to put that in your description? Considering, that's how you start the video. Introduce these guys. Common sense people!!!
That was why its sounds new but classic at the same time! Very Awesome!!!
I have really enjoyed watching Richie work his way up through the ranks of the band, over the years. And now, he delivers such blistering guitars to the Live shows ! Although Albert, Joe, and Allen are no longer in the band, I still very much enjoy who BOC are today ! Been listening for over 50 years, and will continue to.
Thank God you pulled that phone out, this is awesome!
I guess I had learn one day that even Buck Dahrma succumbed to the eightiest of Mullets!
jesus fodendo christ 🥶
Love how they played the Vigil and Unknown Tongue...also the 2 tracks from Curse of the Unbroken Mirror.....amazing to me that this " official " channel doesn't have it or Heaven Forbid uploaded....2 of their best later albums...
Oh my gosh... No wonder why I heard a Fire of Unknown Origin vibe... they were songs from that time frame.... I cut my teeth on that album along with Some Enchanted Evening.... Love it!!!!
Any Imaginos stuff on it? Any chance of fixing up the old Imaginos tapes? That would make for a great box set. Especially anything with Joey Cerisano singing? I'd buy that!
Sounds like most of it was circa 78-83, so anything tied to Imaginos would have been early work in progress I suspect.
Thanks Guys
Fantastic guys. Love when you both do this, thank you
The classic lineup is amazing, and the recent lineup is amazing as well. But WOW is this lineup overlooked! Band sounds great and tight!
Music from the amazing Blue Oyster Cult, just when most needed, this just might get me through the rest of 2024.
Allen Lanier maitre incontesté ! Reposez en paix "MONSIEUR"...
the great guitar player is not a very exciting singer...Eric Bloom fills the roll nicely
I saw this tour. Great show!
Hey Richie and Steve...bang-up job on So Supernatural...Allen ...Buck...Eric...Richie... Rick..Even Albert and Joseph Bouchard are back on Ghost Stories...Nosferatu reminiscent sounds that are just great...Hopefully this isn't a parting sign..."On Tour Forever ...You Know The Routine...On Your Feet Or On Your Knees...Is What We Want.
Some of the vocals were off (flat), but that's how it goes sometimes when a band plays live music and doesn't use backing tracks. The 80s was such a great Era for music. 😃
I’m a 12 year old girl and literally am crazy about everything BÖC. They inspire me everyday and Buck has blown my mind as a beginner guitarist. He is a mastermind… Eric Bloom and his sense of humor always make me smile too, and his vocals have sent me away from every single song especially sang in, from the 70’s till now. I am so happy they are still touring, because it is a dream of mine to see my two biggest role models in person while they’re still here. Love you guys, wish I coulda been here sooner 🤘
Are you 12?? Really????
@@asdfzxcv3617 just turned 13!
I blame the parents……….for their excellent parenting!
NY State Fair this year !!!! PLEASE. !!!!!
American audiences talking throughout the show. Clueless.
Thank God Richie is part of the band. The life he brought in with his mastery of technology is amazing.
Richie Castellano fans the flames of Blue Oyster Cult’s music.
Do the band members ever see these comments? I've often wondered if Buck remembers the time back in the mid 1980s when the band came to play a concert at Six Flags in St. Louis and People's Express airlines lost his guitar. I drove him from the airport to the park that day.
